The famed Louvre museum in Paris closed Sunday after staff raised concerns they could be exposed to the coronavirus, as an outbreak in Italy raises fear the disease is spreading throughout Europe.
Museum staff expressed concerns that most of their visitors come from abroad and that employees from northern Italy had previously come to the museum.
A follow-up management meeting is scheduled for Monday, but sources are unsure if the sides will be able to come to an agreement about protecting their employees and when the museum will reopen.
