Marcus Lemonis is an American businessman and reality television personality who has a net worth of $500 million. Marcus owns 36 million shares of the publicly traded Camping World.

His Camping World stake is worth $500 million on paper, pre-tax.  Camping World went public in 2017 at $22 per share, which gave the company a market value of about $2 billion. The stock rose to $31 in May 2017 and more than $40 per share by October 2017. By December 2019, Camping World was trading at around $14 a share.

Marcus Lemonis was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and was adopted by a family living in Miami. His grandfather was a successful car dealership owner in Florida, and he grew up influenced by his family’s entrepreneurial spirit. He launched his first business while he was still in elementary school. He began a lawn mowing business, which he then used to fund his larger candy-selling business. He graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Political Science in 1995. He then returned to Florida and followed in his grandfather’s footsteps, beginning his career with AutoNation.

Marcus subsequently branched out on his own, forming the RV company, FreedomRoads. He later merged with Camping World to create the Camping World RV SuperCenters. He acquired Good Sam Enterprises in 2009, and is the primary sponsor of what is now known as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In 2013, his combined companies generated $2.5 billion worth of revenue.

He currently stars on the reality series, “The Profit”. The Profit premiered on CNBC on July 30, 2013. On the show, Marcus personally invests in businesses that have failed in order to help turn them around. To date, he has invested over $23 million of his own money on the CNBC show. Lemonis became the executive producer of the television series The Partner on CNBC where he is searching for a business manager to assist him. In 2017 Camping World acquired Gander Mountain and The House Boardship. Lemonis also executive produced the 2015 film I Really Hate My Ex.
